16 - Punishment

Jessica fell back a couple steps, vigorously shaking her head from side to side in an attempt to clear the sudden onset of daze that Felicia’s brisk uppercut inflicted upon her. Just as Felicia had temporarily scrambled Jessica with a monstrous uppercut in the first round, she managed to do so once again. However, this time was different in that the uppercut made contact while Jessica was higher in her stance, and hence not with quite as much counter force since she was already reeling away from a left hook, meaning that there was not enough upward force this time to lift the Nova Striker from her feet as she did in the previous round. Still, the impact was plenty enough to disorient her, giving the Baroness plenty of time to march forward with the intent of causing further damage.

Sure enough, there was little Jessica could do to stop Felicia’s approach, the statuesque German stepping in threateningly behind a heavy left jab. The punch landed clean right between Jessica’s eyes, backing her up farther toward the ring ropes as she struggled to regain composure. Focused on getting her point across, Felicia continued to pepper the nurse’s face with a string of hard left jabs thrown from a squared off shoulder, two of them landing to her jawline.
