As the fighters reached the middle of the ring, Naoko remained cautious, taking a couple steps to her right as she began to circle. Esmeralda watched carefully with hawk-like eyes, pivoting at the waist and adjusting her feet to remain in axis. Neither woman has thrown a punch yet, each attempting to fake out the other with quick feints and subtle shoulder movements meant to bait the other into overextending. All the while, Esmeralda slowly, but steadily inched forward ever closer, threatening to encroach upon the neutral zone between them. Naoko carefully counteracted this movement, using deft footwork to keep herself just out of reach.
Without warning, Esmeralda took an aggressive step inward, testing Naoko’s response. The Sniper noted the relatively lowered position of Esmeralda’s gloves, and with a sudden flash of movement, snapped off a crisp double jab with her left glove in order to protect the perimeter. The first was merely a warning shot and did not quite reach Esmeralda’s nose. The second, however was meant to land, but right before it could, La Rosa stopped it cold by bringing her gloves up to her nose in time to block.Image size

Emeralda looked to be the aggressor early and set the pace of the round, using her jab to test the reaction timing and guard of Naoko, Emeralda approaches quickly letting her hands go, using the jab, she whipped out quickly jab only to find the guard of Naoko, as her gloved fist smashed against the guard of Naoko.
